HOLIDAY YARN BOXES!

I've been trying to think of how to best sell my farm products without doing any markets this year because of the pandemic and I put together two gift box options that I think are really beautiful and fun. If you want to buy one, private message me and we will work out the shipping details and timing so you can have them for the holidays! To order a box email me at mary.m.lake@gmail.com

Sunshine Hill Farm Yarn Box $75
This includes:
4 - 2 oz skeins of Dorset yarn from my sheep, sheared by me, processed by Green Mountain Spinnery and dyed with plants (mostly from the farm). Color sets selected by me.
1 bar of felted soap
1 jar of lamb fat salve
1 Can Do Shearing sticker
2 felted acorn ornaments

Sunshine Hill Farm Wool Lover Box $100
Includes all of the items from the yarn box plus:
1 Needle Felting Kit
5 oz Icelandic Wool Batt for handspinning, felting, or general crafting

LOPI YARN

Lopi yarn is a traditional spin for Icelandic wool. This batch was spun by Mad River Fiber Mill and it's soft, heavy and so black and white! It will make the warmest mitts or cushioniest weaving. Try it out! 9-10 oz skeins, about 140 yards, $60 each. To order yarn email me at mary.m.lake@gmail.com

SPECIAL KNITS FROM MY MOM: Hand-knit wool sweaters

THE BABY SWEATERS: These sweaters are the best because they are easy to get on and off your baby and they fit for a long time. I had a baby in February 2015 and put him in a baby sweater by May with the sleeves rolled up. He was wearing the same sweater the following fall and winter. These sweaters are knit by my mother in South Hero, VT, and are 100% wool. My hope for the near future is to have baby sweaters available that are made from our own wool. Until then, I have the next best thing! These sweaters are also great because the colors are very gender neutral, which can be handy for gift giving. $40 each. E-mail me to order or with questions: mary.m.lake@gmail.com.

SHEEPSKINS: An earthy and original wool cushion, rug, sleeping pad, garment

Sheepskins, or pelts, are the tanned hides of lambs and mature sheep. Mine range in size and wool length: $175-$250

Craft hides, or seconds: $75-$100 (great for sewing or for pet beds)

To inquire about sheepskins contact me at mary.m.lake@gmail.com.

WOOL: Roving and batts

I have some beautiful Icelandic roving and batts. The roving comes in black or white, $5/lb. And the batts are 8 oz, $20. Pictured below are the batts that come in creamy white and light to dark grey.
